Mommy, where do grapes come from?

Believe it or not, vineyards are more than just beautiful backdrops for wedding photos & fruit labels. They actually produce grapes! And while most of us stopped thinking about grape juice in about 3rd grade, at Sexy Wine Bomb, we never did.

We work very, very hard to source the best grapes from the best vineyards all over California. We will stop at nothing to procure the best fruit -- not even if it means slashing the Sun-Maid girl's tires before she gets them into her raisin basket (not really...raisins hail from different kind of grape, but if that bitch branches out she'd better watch her back)

But different kind of grapes grow in different areas, and creating killer California blends gives us the freedom to source from all over this great state...from the redwood forests to the gulf stream waters (wherever the hell those are).

Mendocino County

Doesn't it just make you want to strap on a pair
of wings and frolic around with Keanu Reeves?

The same sunshine that warms the backsides of sunbathing hippies and ripens the buds in the vast "medical" cannabis fields create wonderful conditions for our Zinfandel & Syrah wine grapes. Located just north of Sonoma County and about 90 miles from San Francisco, this seismically-active region provides fabulous alluvial soil between the Navarro and Russian rivers.

Sonoma & Napa Counties

More than just a great place to hit the spa or smack golf balls, these two famous counties are truly the Batman & Robin of the winegrowing world. Defined by coastal mountain ranges and proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the temperate climate here creates a long growing season of warm, sunny days and cool foggy evenings. Add the one-two punch of million-year old sedimentary soil plus decomposed volcanic deposits, and you get what some claim to be the world's best growing region.

If you don't believe us, just rent Bottle Shock.

Central Coast

Stretching from the San Francisco Bay all the way down to Santa Barbara County, this massive growing region produces almost 15% of the state's total wine grape production. Most folks know it best for destinations such as Carmel and Big Sur, but in between those hot-spots you'll also find a hell of a lot of grapes.

Impress your friends at your next cocktail party when you whip out this fun fact: the world's largest contiguous vineyard can be found here, tipping the scales at 8,700 acres. A varied combination of soil types and exposures allow for a wide variety of varietals to thrive, from Cabernet and Merlot in the north, to Pinot Noir in the south.
